Well, it's been ages since I've updated.
Since I only started this journal to lay claim to my username, that's not surprising, but I thought I'd post just to let the IJ world know what's going on.
I'm home waiting on a hip replacement (4 1/2 months down, 2 1/2 months to go).
Actually, it's not that bad. I'm counting from the date that I saw my orthopedic surgeon who sent me off for more x-rays involved radiation. I was supposed to wait 3 months to get them done but, long story short, I got the first one done one month later. I actually had to get THREE x-rays done involving white blood cells and bone marrow cause there was some question of possible infection. After all that, they still don't KNOW if I have one or not, but it looks good.
In the meantime, my cane and I are trudging along doing our thing. Lots of cooking is getting done but not much floor washing, vacuuming or dusting. Cause, I have priorities. :)
I love sushi, Due South (and Paul Gross who's in my icon), old musicals and historical mysteries/detective novels.

The place is huge and other than a few boxes there's no sign that anyone's moved it.
So, let's make things more homey.
Pull up a box, I'll open a bag of chips (Doritos, Ruffles Sour Cream and Bacon, Cheetos available but I'll be happy to pick up your favourite) and pop the tab off a couple Sapporo silver cans and we can chat.
My LJ is more interesting and if I can ever figure out how to clone the posts there here, we're in business. :) |
